The choice of manufacturer this time is Samsung, unlike HTC previously for the Nexus One. The Nexus S is somewhat like a Galaxy S but with an official Google branding on it and runs Gingerbread 2.3. From the official Nexus S page:

Nexus S is the next generation of Nexus devices, co-developed by Google and Samsung. The latest Android platform (Gingerbread), paired with a 1 GHz Hummingbird processor and 16GB of memory, makes Nexus S one of the fastest phones on the market. It comes pre-installed with the best of Google apps and enabled with new and popular features like true multi-tasking, Wi-Fi hotspot, Internet Callling, NFC support, and full web browsing. With this device, users will also be the first to receive software upgrades and new Google mobile apps as soon as they become available. For more details, visithttp://www.google.com/nexus.

The Nexus S will be available via T-mobile in the coming days for a price of $199 on contract and $529 unlocked, 16th December is the date which is floating around for availability. It packs a powerful 1 GHz Hummingbird processor which is a graphical monster! Has 512MB of RAM and a huge internal storage of 16GB. Here comes the eye candy part, it has a 4 inch Super AMOLED display and its super bright compared to the plain AMOLED screen found on the Nexus One hence your pictures and videos will look stunning and blow you away! The camera is somewhat disappointing, it’s a 5MP camera just like the one on the Nexus One and it does have a flash on it. The bonus features over the Nexus One found in the Nexus S is NFC (Near Field Communications), a three axis gyroscope and a forward facing camera with VGA resolution for video calls, yes you read that right, the Nexus S has a forward facing camera as well. You can read the full specs of the Nexus S here. This is by far the most sexiest Android device we’ve seen so far, the design is just superb! We can’t wait to get our hands on it.
